Andrew's Baptism

On Saturday, September 19, 2009, Andrew was baptized by his daddy.  It was such a special (but very busy!) day.  Andrew started the day at basketball camp, then was whisked home to shower and get to the church.  He was very excited and happy.  We had a great program.  I played the piano (Andrew had picked "How Firm a Foundation" and "I am a Child of God" for his hymns), and Aunt Jill was the chorister.  Lita gave a great talk on baptism, and Grandpa Fred and Uncle Anthony were the witnesses.

Then after he was baptized, Grandpa Fred gave a great talk on the Holy Ghost, and then Andrew was confirmed by his daddy.  Sister Bruyere welcomed him to the Primary, and Bishop Cherry welcomed him to the ward.  Grandma Nan and Haley gave the prayers.

After the baptism, we changed clothes and then met at the park for a picnic with the family.  It was 95 degrees, but still enjoyable!

This is the food:

We are so proud of Andrew.  He is such a good and special boy.  He makes each day happy for us, and gives us so much love.  He is a great example to his brothers and sisters.  We are so happy that he has made this choice to become baptized and follow the example of his savior!
